About FCLE Practice
FCLE Practice started with one college student facing the Florida Civic Literacy Exam.
The topics were spread across course notes, official guides, and old textbooks, and practice questions were hard to find. So this student set out to build an AI tool to help them study: something that could organize the FCLE topics, explain them clearly, and generate practice questions with answers that made sense.
It worked well enough that keeping it to themselves seemed like a waste. The tool grew into this website, a free study guide and practice test bank that any student preparing for the FCLE can use.
What you'll find here
- A 17-chapter study guide that covers every FCLE competency.
- Practice tests with explanations. Each missed question links back to the section that teaches it.
- A page for each of the 26 landmark Supreme Court cases.
How the content is made
The study material and questions were drafted with the help of AI and then reviewed against primary sources, such as the Constitution, the founding documents, and the Supreme Court's opinions, and against FLDOE's published competencies. Quotations come from public-domain historical documents and court opinions.
We work hard to keep everything accurate, but mistakes can slip through. This is a study aid, not an official source.
